We had the good fortune of connecting with Brittanee’ (Bri’) King and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Brittanee’ (Bri’), what role has risk played in your life or career?
Like the old saying goes, “You miss 100% of the shots you don’t shoot!” Right!?! Taking risk to achieve goals requires a certain amount of strength and courage to face fear of uncertainty. However, in the long run, going through this process helps us to grow to become more resilient and confident. If you can think it, dream it, or visualize it then it can become a reality! Being able to train your mind to use your strength and exude enough confidence to take a risk is a huge accomplishment and very life changing. The fact is most people tend to avoid taking any risk, however being bold enough to take risk gives you a competitive advantage. I am glad that I was able to build the skill of taking risks because it has allowed me to pivot and adapt with new ideas and inventions. Even more importantly it has also help me overcome fears while generating new leads, and possibilities.

Conversations with the Inspiring Brittanee’ (Bri) King
Today we’d like to introduce you to Brittanee’ (Bri) King.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I’ve been surrounded and influenced by entrepreneurs for a huge portion of my life. I became an entrepreneur in my own right at the age of 19. From being a talk show host to starting my business, launching Nvsme (pronounced envious me), I have had my fair share of experiences throughout my journey.
Nvsme began as a promotional agency for models and photographers and was used as a platform that provided tools, support, and inspiration to aspiring creatives to help them reach their dreams. The agency also produced five calendars, a behind the scenes DVD and an R&B mixtape, which achieved an international distribution network. As the company grew, it evolved from trendy and hip-hop to a more subtle, classic, and modern brand focusing on attainable luxury fashion jewelry. As part of our transformation, we begin cultivating and curating unique art pieces for the vibrant, confident person who loves to stand out.
Has it been a smooth road?
If anyone ever says that the road has been smooth, please point me in that direction, Haha! No, but seriously that means they’re not being challenged enough. To be candid, I view obstacles as areas of opportunity to grow and learn. The three major areas of opportunities faced while building a brand are the fear of failure, balancing responsibilities and limited funding.
The best advice I can give you is don’t run away from the challenges you are facing in life. Don’t ignore them or try to hide from them. Face them. Deal with them and defeat them! The greatest growth in life will come when you face and deal with a serious obstacle. Regardless of the result, value the experience and personal growth.
